Replacing the Whirlpool W11219115 TUB-OUTER
To replace your Whirlpool W11219115 tub-outer, you'll need to gather a few tools and supplies before getting started. Here's a list of what you'll need:
Tools:
• A Phillips-head screwdriver
• Pliers
• An adjustable wrench
Supplies:
• A new Whirlpool W11219115 tub-outer
• Thread sealant
Step 1: Unplug your washer. Disconnect the electrical power to the washer and ensure that it is off before proceeding with the installation.
Step 2: Remove the top panel of your washer. Using your Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the screws that attach the top panel to the cabinet. Carefully lift the top panel off of the washer and set it aside.
Step 3: Disconnect the water hoses. Use your pliers to disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses from the washer. Make sure to have a bucket ready to catch any water that may still be in the hoses.
Step 4: Remove the old tub-outer. With your adjustable wrench, loosen and remove the four bolts holding the old tub-outer in place. Gently lift the old tub-outer off of the washer and set it aside.
Step 5: Install the new tub-outer. Place the new tub-outer into the opening and align it with the four bolt holes. Secure it in place by using the same four bolts you removed previously.
Step 6: Reconnect the water hoses. Reattach the inlet and outlet hoses to the washer and use thread sealant to ensure a tight seal.
Step 7: Reattach the top panel. Put the top panel back onto the washer and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
Step 8: Plug in your washer. Reconnect the electrical power to the washer and make sure it’s turned off before proceeding to the next step.
You have successfully replaced the Whirlpool W11219115 tub-outer.
