Replacing the GE WD01X27538 Hose Clamp
Tools required: Phillips head screwdriver, adjustable wrench, a replacement hose clamp of the same size
Step 1: Disconnect the appliance's water supply. Shut off the water coming into the appliance by turning the shut off valve behind the machine counterclockwise.
Step 2: Locate the existing hose clamp on the water supply line and the inlet connection on the appliance. Use an adjustable wrench to loosen and remove the existing hose clamp.
Step 3: Slide the replacement GE WD01X27538 hose clamp onto the water supply line and over the inlet connection on the appliance.
Step 4: Tighten the hose clamp by using a Phillips head screwdriver, turning it in a clockwise direction until it is snug against the inlet connection.
Step 5: Turn the water back on by turning the shut off valve in the clockwise direction. Closely monitor the connection for any signs of leaking.
Step 6: Once the connection has been checked for any sign of leaking and the water supply is flowing normally, the job is complete.
