This Top Load Washer Agitator spins and agitates your clothes properly so they can be washed. The agitator is located in the center of the wash drum and is secured by (1) bolt ... at its base. To secure the bolt into the new agitator before installing, turn the agitator upside down and put the new bolt in position. This assembly includes includes both the upper and lower parts of the agitator. Replacing this part will require basic tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. This Top Load Washer Agitator Cam Repair Kit should be used if the upper section of the agitator isn't turning properly. This repair kit includes (4) directional cogs (or dog ...ears) and (1) cam. Pre-assemble the repair kit before installing in the agitator. Make sure you install the dog ears with the curve of the cam. We recommend using a small amount of grease (item 350849) with this kit if no grease is present on the old thrust washer.
