1. Unplug your Whirlpool dryer from the wall outlet before beginning the DIY repair process.
2. Locate the thermistor on your dryer. It is typically located near the back of the dryer, behind the drum or sometimes underneath the access panel.
3. Remove the thermistor gently, being careful not to damage any of the surrounding wires.
4. Disconnect the wires from the old thermistor and unscrew it from the mounting bracket.
5. Purchase a replacement thermistor that is compatible with your particular Whirlpool dryer model (Part No WP35001191).
6. Connect the wires to the new thermistor and attach it to the mounting bracket.
7. Tighten the screws to secure the thermistor.
8. Double-check all connections and screws to ensure everything is installed correctly.
9. Plug the dryer back into the wall outlet and turn the power back on.
10. Test the dryer to ensure that it is working properly and that the replacement thermistor is functioning correctly.
