How to Replace the W11176454 Whirlpool Range Oven Burner Ignitor
1. Unplug your oven from the power supply. This should always be done before starting any oven maintenance job.
2. Remove the oven door and oven racks. Refer to your oven's instruction manual for more detailed instructions on how to properly remove the oven door and racks.
3. Locate the ignitor for the burner you need to replace. The ignitor is usually located at the back of the oven. It will have two wires connected to it.
4. Disconnect the wires from the ignitor. Be sure to note which wire goes to which terminal so you can reinstall them in the correct locations once the new ignitor is in place.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the ignitor in place.
6. Remove the old ignitor from the oven.
7. Take your new ignitor and insert it into the oven. Make sure the mounting holes align with the mounting screws.
8. Reattach the wires to the new ignitor, matching up the colors with the terminals.
9. Secure the ignitor in place by reattaching the mounting screws.
10. Reinstall the oven racks and door.
