Step 1: Turn off the power to the Whirlpool W11084830 DIVIDER. Unplug it from the wall.
Step 2: Remove the screws on the back of the unit. Carefully lift the top panel off and set aside.
Step 3: Locate the divider, which is a small metal piece that is located in the interior of the unit. It should be near the bottom.
Step 4: Carefully remove the divider, using a pair of needle-nose pliers or other suitable tools. Be sure not to damage any of the other components while doing so.
Step 5: Replace the divider with a new one. Make sure the fit is secure and that all of the pieces fit together properly before proceeding.
Step 6: Re-attach the screws to the back of the unit, and replace the top panel.
Step 7: Plug the unit back into the wall, and restore the power. Test the unit to make sure it is working properly.
