The Dishwasher Dishrack Adjuster, Right raises or lowers the top rack of the dishwasher to accommodate taller dishware. This adjuster is meant for the right side of your appliance. If you also need to replace the adjuster assembly on the right side of the dishrack, you can order it under item W10740408. To install, disassemble the current adjuster and use existing parts. Replacing a WPW10740410 Whirlpool Adjuster
Step 1: Shut off the power supply to your Whirlpool appliance. You will want to disconnect the power cord from the outlet, or unplug it from the wall. If you have an appliance that is hardwired to the electrical panel, you will need to turn off power to that circuit as well.
Step 2: Inspect the existing adjuster and determine if any additional parts need to be removed in order to access the adjuster. Depending on the model, this may include screws, clips, or other components.
Step 3: Once you can access the adjuster, remove the existing part by taking out the mounting screws and/or clips, then slide the adjuster out of its housing.
Step 4: Once the old adjuster has been removed, you can begin to install the new WPW10740410 adjuster. Start by inserting the adjuster into its housing and securing it with the necessary mounting screws and/or clips.
Step 5: After the adjuster has been secured in place, you will want to re-connect the power supply to the appliance and turn it back on.
