Replacing the WP8572270 Whirlpool Dryer Lint Trap Filter Screen
1. Unplug your dryer from the wall outlet and move it away from the wall to gain access to the back of the appliance.
2. Remove the lint trap filter screen by unscrewing the screws securing the cover.
3. Inspect the interior of the dryer to make sure that there is no lint or debris left on the sides or in the drum.
4. Loosen the hex nut located on the side of the lint trap housing and slide out the old filter screen.
5. Slide in the new WP8572270 Whirlpool Dryer Lint Trap Filter Screen, making sure it is correctly aligned.
6. Secure the hex nut to keep the screen in place.
7. Reinstall the dryer lint filter cover and replace the screws.
8. Reconnect your dryer to the power outlet and test for proper operation.
9. Clean up any debris left behind and vacuum the area around the dryer.
