DIY Instructions for Replacing the Whirlpool W11132267 GEARCASE (DW1)
1. Gather the necessary tools and supplies: new GEARCASE (DW1) model Whirlpool W11132267, Phillips head screwdriver, and popsicle sticks.
2. Turn off the power to the dishwasher at the breaker box.
3. Carefully open the dishwasher door and remove any racks that may be blocking access to the GEARCASE.
4. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the screws located on the bottom of the dishwasher.
5. Remove the screws and then separate the front panel from the back panel of the dishwasher.
6. Locate the GEARCASE (DW1). It is typically located on the bottom right side of the dishwasher.
7. Use a popsicle stick to carefully pry the old GEARCASE (DW1) out of its place in the dishwasher.
8. Put the new Whirlpool W11132267 GEARCASE (DW1) into position, making sure it is properly aligned with the other parts.
9. Secure the new GEARCASE (DW1) in place by replacing the screws.
10. Screw the front panel onto the back panel of the dishwasher.
11. Turn the power back on at the breaker box and test the new GEARCASE (DW1) by running a cycle.
12. If the replacement was done correctly, the dishwasher should work properly.
