Step 1: Unplug the power cord and turn off the water to the washing machine.
Step 2: Remove the screws holding the top or front panel in place, depending on the model of your Whirlpool washing machine.
Step 3: Inspect the cap, which is located on the back of the washer. It may be a plastic screw-on type or a metal clamp.
Step 4: If it is a plastic screw-on cap, unscrew it using a Phillips head screwdriver. If it is a metal clamp, use pliers to remove it.
Step 5: Fit the new W11050804 cap into place and secure it with the screw or metal clamp.
Step 6: Replace the back or top panel by securing the screws.
Step 7: Reconnect the power cord and turn the water back on.
Your Whirlpool washing machine is now ready to use with the new W11050804 cap in place.
