Step 1: Shut off the power to your Frigidaire refrigerator. Use whichever appropriate method is available to you, including turning off the appliance’s circuit breaker, unplugging it from a wall outlet, or flipping the master switch inside the refrigerator.
Step 2: Remove the screws that attach the grille to the refrigerator. Depending on the model, there may be several of them, located along the edges of the grille. Carefully set the grille aside and keep any screws in a safe place.
Step 3: Unscrew the mounting bracket that holds the motor fan in place. This will normally require a screwdriver or a socket wrench.
Step 4: Disconnect the wiring harness that attaches the motor fan to the fridge. If necessary, consult a wiring diagram to make sure all wires are properly identified before disconnecting them.
Step 5: Remove the old motor fan and replace it with the new 5304523741 model. It’s OK if some parts of the old model remain attached to the fridge, as long as they don’t interfere with the new installation.
Step 6: Connect the wiring harness to the new motor fan and secure the mounting bracket.
Step 7: Replace the grille and attach any screws that were removed from it.
Step 8: Re-apply power to the fridge and test the new motor fan to make sure it is working correctly.
