If water isn't entering the ice maker and dispenser in your appliance, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. The new part's wire connections are on the back of the unit and the valve includes a "push to lock" fitting that doesn't require a nut to attach the tubing. You'll have to remove the old style compression fittings around the water line and trim, then push the water line directly into the valve where it will lock into place.
