Replacing the LG Washer Hot Water Inlet Valve (Part # 5220FR2006H)
Before you begin, make sure to turn off the water supply and unplug your washing machine from the wall.
Step 1: Locate the top cover of your washer. Depending on the model of your washing machine, it may be located along the side or in the back. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to gently pry the cover off.
Step 2: Locate the hot water valve and disconnect the water supply hose from the valve. Use locking pliers to loosen the hose clamp and carefully pull the hose away from the valve.
Step 3: Unscrew the screws that hold the valve in place and gently remove it from the washing machine.
Step 4: Mount the new valve in place and replace the screws.
Step 5: Reconnect the water supply hose to the valve and tighten the hose clamp using locking pliers.
Step 6: Turn the water supply back on and plug your washing machine into the wall.
Step 7: Test the new valve by running a load of laundry and checking for any leaks.
