DIY Instructions to Replace the WR60X10307 GE Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor
1. Begin by unplugging your refrigerator from the wall socket and turning off any valves connected to the appliance.
2. Ensure that the refrigerator is empty before beginning repair work.
3. Locate the evaporator fan motor, which is typically located in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator. It is usually mounted on a bracket near the evaporator coils.
4. Unscrew and remove the screws that are holding the fan motor in place.
5. Disconnect the old evaporator fan motor’s wires.This can sometimes be done by hand. If it is harder to remove, use a pair of pliers to disconnect them.
6. Take the old motor out of the refrigerator and discard it.
