Instructions for Replacing the GE WR23X29161 Fresh Food Door Light Switch
1. Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet to avoid electric shock.
2. Locate the switch that is mounted on the interior wall of the fresh food compartment.
3. Using a screwdriver, loosen and remove the mounting screws that are holding the switch in place.
4. Carefully pull the switch away from the wall. Note the two wire connectors attached to the switch and make sure they remain connected.
5. Place the new switch in the same position as the old switch.
6. Secure the switch with the mounting screws.
7. Reconnect the two wires to the new switch and make sure they are firmly secured.
8. Once all the connections are complete, plug the refrigerator back into the electrical outlet.
9. Turn the light switch to the ON position to test the new switch.
