Replacing the WR17X11497 GE Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Crusher Cover
1. Unplug your refrigerator from the electrical outlet and turn off the water supply that feeds the ice maker.
2. Open the refrigerator door and locate the ice dispenser cover. It is typically inside the freezer door near the top.
3. Remove the screws securing the ice dispenser cover to the freezer door using a Phillips head screwdriver.
4. Slide the old dispenser cover out of its slot on the freezer door and set it aside.
5. Place the new WR17X11497 GE Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Crusher Cover in the same slot.
6. Secure the new crusher cover with the screws removed in Step 3.
7. Reconnect the refrigerator to the electrical outlet and turn the water supply back on.
8. Test the new ice dispenser crusher cover by pressing the dispenser lever. If the dispenser is working properly, the ice should begin to dispense. Otherwise, check the ice crusher cover for proper installation.
