Replacing the WR02X12008 WR02X24743 GE Evaporator Fan Grommet

Tools Needed:
-Flathead screwdriver
-Needlenose pliers
-WR02X12008 WR02X24743 GE Evaporator Fan Grommet replacement

Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet or turn off the circuit breaker to the refrigerator to ensure a safe repair.

Step 2: Locate the evaporator fan coil in the freezer section. This is normally located behind a plastic cover and will be mounted in the interior walls of the freezer section.

Step 3: Remove the plastic cover by unscrewing the screws that hold the cover in place. With the cover removed, you should see the fan coil and the grommet.

Step 4: Using the flathead screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the grommet in place. Once all the screws are removed, the grommet will come off easily.

Step 5: Insert the new grommet into the fan coil opening. Make sure that all of the mounting holes line up with the holes on the fan coil.

Step 6: Use the needlenose pliers to secure the screws and tighten them to ensure a tight fit. Be careful not to over-tighten them, as this can damage the grommet.

Step 7: Replace the plastic cover and secure it with the screws removed in Step 3.

Step 8: Plug the refrigerator back in or turn the circuit breaker back on.

Congratulations - you have successfully replaced the WR02X12008 WR02X24743 GE Evaporator Fan Grommet!
