1. Shut off the electricity to the refrigerator. Unplug the power cord, or switch off the circuit breaker.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the panel screws located on the rear of the refrigerator at the top.
3. Pull down the panel above the evaporator coils and locate the WR02X10821 GE Humidity Control.
4. Unplug the connector from the humidity control.
5. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the mounting screws that attach the control panel to the refrigerator wall.
6. Remove the panel and disconnect the wiring harness.
7. Take the new WR02X10821 GE Humidity Control and connect the wiring harness.
8. Reinstall the panel and secure it with the mounting screws.
9. Plug the connector into the new humidity control.
10. Replace the panel above the evaporator coils, and secure it with the screws.
11. Restore power to the refrigerator and test the new WR02X10821 GE Humidity Control.
