1. Unplug the washing machine power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Push the washing machine away from the wall to provide access to the rear of the machine.
3. Locate the existing drain hose, which is where the water is discharged during the washing cycle.
4. Place a bucket or container beneath the hose connection to collect spilled water.
5. Disconnect the existing drain hose from the washing machine.
6. Remove the existing drain hose and discard it.
7. Uncoil the new GE WH41X32477 External Drain Hose.
8. Connect one end of the new drain hose to the washing machine and the other end to the drainage point (sink, bathtub, etc.).
9. Securely tighten all connections.
10. Push the washing machine back against the wall and plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
