Here are the steps to replacing the GE WH16X26910 rod & spring ASM right-GRE:
1. Start by unplugging the washing machine from the power source.
2. Turn off the water supply to the washing machine and disconnect the hoses.
3. Get behind the washing machine and use a screwdriver to remove the access panel (if applicable).
4. Disconnect the water inlet valve at the bottom of the washing machine.
5. Remove the screws that are holding the spring, rod, and housing assembly in place.
6. Slide the old assembly out and replace it with the new one.
7. Place the new assembly into position and secure it with the screws.
8. Reconnect the water inlet valve and the hoses.
9. Secure the access panel (if applicable).
10. Plug the washing machine back in and turn on the water supply.
