Step 1: Disconnect the Power Cord
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and make sure it is completely disconnected before you begin.
Step 2: Remove the Old Power Cord
Remove the old power cord from the back of the GE unit. This can be done by unscrewing any screws holding the cord in place. Some models may require you to remove a panel covering the connection area. If this is the case, use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the screws.
Step 3: Prepare the New Power Cord
Check that the replacement power cord has the same plug configuration as your old one. Make sure the new cord is free of any damage or frays.
Step 4: Install the New Power Cord
Plug the new power cord into the back of the GE unit, making sure the cord fits securely. Re-attach any screws if required.
Step 5: Plug in the New Power Cord
Once the new power cord is installed, plug it into the wall outlet. Turn on the unit and check for any power issues. If everything is working properly, you're done!
