Step 1: Unplug your appliance and shut off the power before beginning repair.
Step 2: Open your appliance door, and remove any screws that are securing the latch assembly to the door frame.
Step 3: Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slots on either side of the latch assembly and gently pry it away from the frame.
Step 4: Remove the door latch assembly and unplug the electrical connector from it.
Step 5: Take the new WB02K10144 GE Door Latch Assembly and insert the electrical connector into the plug receptacle.
Step 6: Line up the latch assembly in the door frame and secure it with any previously removed screws.
Step 7: Double-check that the electrical connector is properly connected and that the latch assembly is firmly secured to the frame.
Step 8: Once everything is back in place, plug the power cord back in and restore power to the appliance.
