WPW10381562 Whirlpool Front Load Washer Door Boot
This Front Load Washer Door Boot Seal is a part that safely contains the water in between the tub and the front panel of your dual front-load washer. If your current seal is damaged and leaking water, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Note that overloading the washer is the most common cause for a damaged or torn door boot seal. Clamps are not included and need to be purchased separately. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. How to Replace the WPW10381562 Whirlpool Bellow
1. Unplug the Whirlpool washer from the power source, and shut off the water supply.
2. Remove the washer’s front panel. To do so, remove the screws at the top and bottom of the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the panel to unhook it from the frame and set it aside.
3. Disconnect the bellow from the washer by removing the clamps that hold the bellow in place.
4. Use a putty knife to remove any remaining residue or debris on the surface of the washer’s frame.
5. Install the new bellow in place of the old one by fastening the clamps securely.
6. Reattach the front panel you removed in step two, making sure to secure all of the screws in the proper places.
7. Reconnect the washer to the power source, and turn on the water supply.
8. Run a cycle to make sure the bellow is functioning correctly.
