Step 1: Purchase the correct replacement part. You will need a Whirlpool WP74011277 KNOB- BURN.
Step 2: Disconnect power to the appliance and turn off all gas supplies if applicable.
Step 3: Remove the old knob by grasping it with an adjustable wrench and turning counterclockwise until it loosens and can be removed.
Step 4: Insert the new knob into place, tightening with the adjustable wrench until secure.
Step 5: Reconnect power and gas supplies if applicable.
Step 6: Test the new knob to ensure it works properly.
