Step 1: Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and turn off the circuit breaker for the electric range.
Step 2: Remove the top access panel from the range by unscrewing the screws from the back of the range.
Step 3: Remove the oven door and lift out the entire oven cavity.
Step 4: Locate the Whirlpool WP74009217 CNTRL-ELEC on the back of the oven cavity.
Step 5: Unscrew the mounting screws holding the control board in place.
Step 6: Unplug the wiring harnesses and then remove the control board.
Step 7: Install the new Whirlpool WP74009217 CNTRL-ELEC control board by reversing the steps you used to remove the old board.
Step 8: Securely fasten all screws, plugs, and wires.
Step 9: Replace the oven cavity and oven door.
Step 10: Put the top access panel back in place and secure it with the screws.
Step 11: Reconnect the power cord to the range and turn the circuit breaker on.
Step 12: Test the range to ensure the new Whirlpool WP74009217 CNTRL-ELEC works properly.
