Replacing the Whirlpool W11614118 WHEEL-TUB

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine and turn off the water supply.
Move the appliance away from the wall to reveal the rear panel.

Step 2: Place a bucket or towel underneath the bottom of the appliance to catch any water that may come out as you work on it.

Step 3: Unscrew the hose clamps that are connecting the fill hoses to the inlet valve. Then unscrew the two screws, using a Phillips screwdriver, that are holding the rear panel in place and remove it.

Step 4: Locate the drive belt, which is located around the top of the tub. Pull the belt off of the motor pulley.

Step 5: Unscrew the nut, located on the center of the tub, with an adjustable wrench. Pull the old wheel-tub off of the washing machine.

Step 6: Place the new wheel-tub onto the washing machine and hand-tighten the nut. Use the adjustable wrench to fully tighten the nut.

Step 7: Place the drive belt onto the motor pulley and align it so that it is properly positioned.

Step 8: Reattach the rear panel and fill hoses to the inlet valve. Turn on the water supply and plug the appliance back in.

Step 9: Test the washer to make sure the new wheel-tub is securely in place and the washer is operating properly.
