Step 1: Unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet. Move the washing machine away from the wall, and slide a piece of cardboard or linoleum underneath the machine for protection.
Step 2: Remove the screw from the back of the washer that holds the control panel in place. You may need to use a Phillips or flat head screwdriver.
Step 3: Pull off the front panel and pry off the clips that secure it to the washer. Then, remove the screws that hold the top panel in place.
Step 4: Unscrew the two screws that secure the tub support to the tub. Then, remove the two screws that hold the tub to the base of the washer.
Step 5: Lift the washing machine tub off its base and remove the old wheel.
Step 6: Place the new Whirlpool W11561080 WHEEL-TUB on the washer base and secure it with the two screws. Then, reattach the tub support to the bottom of the tub.
Step 7: Reattach the top panel to the washer, and then put the front panel back on. Secure it with the clips and screws.
Step 8: Put the washer back in place and plug it into an electrical outlet.
