This Range Wall Hood Recirculation Kit traps grease from the exhaust air of your oven to prevent it from entering the blower and vent, potentially causing build-up and damage. How to Replace a Whirlpool W11430940 DUCT-KIT
1.Turn off the power to your range hood by switching off the appropriate circuit breaker switch in your home's circuit box.
2.Open your range hood and remove the light bulbs, filter and tray located inside.
3.Remove the screws on each side of the range hood housing with a Phillips head screwdriver.
4.Pull out on the range hood slightly to expose the back side of the fan housing.
5.Disconnect the wires from the fan motor with a pair of needle nose pliers or other tools as needed.
6.Remove the screws from the fan housing that hold the DUCT-KIT to the fan housing.
7.Remove the old DUCT-KIT from the fan housing.
8.Slide the new DUCT-KIT into place and secure it with the screws.
9.Reconnect the wiring to the fan motor.
10.Replace the screws on each side of the range hood housing.
11.Set the light bulbs, filter and tray back into the range hood.
12.Turn the circuit breaker switch back on and restore power to your range hood.
