1. Start by unplugging the Whirlpool W11162079 BIN-CNTLVR from its power source.
2. Open the dishwasher door and remove any dishes that are inside.
3. Find the screws that secure the control panel to the back side of the door. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws.
4. Slide the control panel away from the door, then disconnect the wiring harness by pulling the tab away from the wiring connection.
5. Take the old control panel and disconnect it from the mounting bracket.
6. Locate the new Whirlpool W11162079 BIN-CNTLVR and plug the wiring harness into the matching connections on the new unit.
7. Secure the new unit to the mounting bracket by reinserting the screws that were removed earlier, and tighten with a screwdriver.
8. Slide the control panel back onto the door and secure it using the screws.
9. Plug the Whirlpool W11162079 BIN-CNTLVR back into the power source and test it by running a cycle on your dishwasher.
