Replacing your Whirlpool W11084139 BLOCK-TECH Ice Maker

If your Whirlpool W11084139 BLOCK-TECH ice maker isn’t producing ice, you may need to replace it. Replacing your ice maker is a relatively easy process that most people can do on their own with the right tools and instructions. Read on to learn how to successfully replace your Whirlpool ice maker.

Materials Needed:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
- Pliers
- New Whirlpool W11084139 BLOCK-TECH ice maker

Step 1: Disconnect the power. Before you begin replacing your Whirlpool W11084139 BLOCK-TECH ice maker, make sure you turn off the power to your refrigerator. You can do this by either unplugging it from the wall or shutting off the circuit breaker.

Step 2: Remove the screws. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws from the back of the refrigerator that are securing the ice maker in place. Once the screws are removed, you can pull the ice maker towards you so you can access the wiring.

Step 3: Unplug the wiring. Using the flathead screwdriver, carefully remove the wiring from the back of the ice maker. Make sure not to force the wiring out of its socket. If the wiring is stuck, use the pliers to gently wiggle it loose.
