Instructions for Replacing a Whirlpool W10874836 Encap LH and RH
1. Unplug the power cord of the Whirlpool front-loading washing machine before you start.
2. Remove the screws from the bottom of the control panel on the front of the machine; lift the panel off to reveal the parts inside.
3. Locate the Whirlpool Encap LH and RH, two small, plastic pieces at the lower portion of the washer drum.
4. Unhook the wire harness from the Encap LH and RH, reaching up under the panel to do so.
5. Grasp the Encap LH and RH with your fingers and pull them out of place.
6. Reach into the opening left behind in the drum and grab the new Encap LH and RH.
7. Insert the new Encap parts into place, securing them with your fingers.
8. Hook the wire harness back onto the Encap LH and RH, being careful not to damage the delicate wires.
9. Replace the panel on the front of the machine, securing it with the screws you removed earlier.
10. Re-plug the power cord into the wall socket and turn the washing machine back on to test that it is working.
