Instructions for Replacing the Whirlpool Washer Electronic Control Board (W10864049)
Materials Needed:
- W10864049 Whirlpool Washer Electronic Control Board
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Socket/wrench set
1. Unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet and turn off the water source.
2. Remove the screws located on the back of the washer using a Phillips head screwdriver. Once all the screws are removed, carefully lift off the top panel.
3. Locate the electronic control board housed inside the washer and disconnect the wiring harness by gently pulling it out.
4. Use a socket or wrench set to remove the screws holding down the control board.
5. Set the old control board aside and replace it with the new one.
6. Reconnect the wiring harness to the new control board and secure it in place with the screws you removed earlier.
7. Replace the top panel and reattach the screws.
8. Plug the washer back into the wall outlet and turn on the water source.
Your Whirlpool washer is now ready for use with its new electronic control board!
