The Top Load Washer Lid Switch Strike is mounted on the underside of your washer's lid near the hinge, and engages with the lid switch. The strike presses the lid switch when you close the lid to start the washer. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
