2. Locate the screws that secure the door handle at either end. Unscrew both screws and then slowly lift the handle from the refrigerator door.
3. Check the back of the handle to ensure that it is compatible with the model you own. If it is not, purchase a W10806512 Whirlpool refrigerator door handle specifically meant for your model.
4. Line up the new handle with the holes in the door, and carefully insert the screws at either end. Use a screwdriver to tighten them securely.
5. Plug the refrigerator back into its power source, and check that the door handle is secure. If it is, your DIY is complete.
