DIY Instructions on Replacing a Whirlpool W10239873 Cooktop
1. Make sure to turn off the power to the cooktop at the circuit breaker.
2. Once the power is off, then you can remove the existing cooktop. To do this, start removing the screws that secure the cooktop with a screwdriver. The screws are typically located around the edges of the cooktop.
3. After you have removed all the screws, then you should be able tolift the cooktop away from the countertop.
4. Place the new cooktop in the same area where you removed the old one. Make sure that the new cooktop is correctly aligned with the countertop and that there is enough space for all four burner plates to fit.
5. Secure the cooktop to the countertop with the screws that you removed earlier.
6. Connect the power cable to the cooktop. Turn on the circuit breaker so that the cooktop is receiving power.
7. Test the cooktop to make sure that it works properly.
8. Clean any debris or dirt that has accumulated under the cooktop.
