The igniter lights the gas burner to hea ...t the appliance during the drying cycle. This kit includes (1) igniter assembly, (1) bracket, (2) wire nuts, (1) bolt and installation instructions. Note that the igniter is very fragile and must be handled with care. You'll remove the top and front panels of the dryer to access the part. This Gas Range Surface Igniter provides spark to the burner to ignite the gas and initiate the cooking process. This igniter features a spark electrode with a male spade conne ...ction. If your range’s igniter is no longer providing a spark to light the burner, the wire may be shorted out or the porcelain casing may be cracked. Replacing the part may alleviate these issues. Be mindful not to lose the two burner wires inside the appliance when you detach them from the old burner head. To install the new part, simply insert it into the burner head and secure it with two screws.
