Replacing the 203643 Speed Queen Washer Bezel Lid Lock
1. First, shut off power to the washer if it is a plugged-in model by unplugging the machine from the wall. If you have a hardwired model, turn off the breaker at your circuit breaker box.
2. There should be two screws located on the top edge of the washer’s control panel. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen and remove these screws.
3. Carefully pull the control panel forward until you can access the back of the panel.
4. Locate the bezel lid lock. It will be secured by two small screws. Unscrew the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.
5. Pull the bezel lid lock away from the washer, being careful not to damage any wires.
6. Take your new bezel lid lock and position it on the back of the control panel where the old one was located. Make sure that it’s in the proper location and firmly secured by the two screws.
7. Connect the wiring harness from the bezel lid lock to the main wiring harness.
8. Gently slide the control panel back into its original place.
9. Finish replacing the bezel lid lock by tightening the two top screws.
10. Re-apply power to the washer in whatever way it was turned off (either plugging it in or flipping a breaker switch).
