Step 1: Unplug the washer from the wall outlet and turn off the water valves connected to the unit.
Step 2: Open the washer lid and locate the Speed Queen Washer Lid Lock Catch Assembly – located at the top right corner of the washer lid.
Step 3: Carefully remove the two screws located on either side of the assembly using a screwdriver.
Step 4: Remove the Speed Queen Washer Lid Lock Catch Assembly and set aside.
Step 5: Take the new Speed Queen Washer Lid Lock Catch Assembly and place it in the same location as the old one.
Step 6: Secure the new assembly into place with the two screws.
Step 7: Plug the washer back into the wall outlet and turn the water valves back on.
Step 8: Test the new Speed Queen Washer Lid Lock Catch Assembly to ensure that it is working properly.
