Replacing the DG31-00007A Samsung Range Convection Oven Fan Motor
Tools Needed:
-Phillips head screwdriver
-Flathead screwdriver
-Needle nose pliers
-Wire cutters
Step 1: Unplug the range from the power source. Make sure to turn off any circuit breakers associated with the oven as well.
Step 2: Remove the rear access panel. It is secured with screws located near the bottom of the oven. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove them.
Step 3: With the panel removed, you will see the fan motor. Disconnect the wires that are connected to it. Use needle nose pliers to unclip them from the clips on the motor.
Step 4: Cut the zip ties that are securing the fan motor to the oven. Make sure to use wire cutters to make a clean cut.
Step 5: Remove the mounting screws that are securing the fan motor. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove them.
Step 6: Carefully pull the fan motor out of the oven and discard it.
Step 7: Place the new fan motor in the oven and secure it with the mounting screws.
Step 8: Reattach the wires to the new fan motor. Make sure to double check their connections before plugging in the oven.
Step 9: Replace the rear access panel and ensure that all screws are tightened properly.
Step 10: Plug the oven back into the power source and reset any circuit breakers that were tripped.
