Step 1: Turn off the power to your range hood. Unplug the appliance if possible or disconnect your hood from the power source before beginning this repair.

Step 7: Turn the power back on or reconnect the appliance to its power source.

Step 8: Test the range hood to ensure that the new filter is working properly.
