DIY Instructions on Replacing the DC97-15720A Samsung Dryer Housing Bearing Assembly
1. Start by turning off the power supply to the Samsung dryer and unplugging it from the wall socket.
2. Carefully remove the dryer's back panel using a Phillips head screwdriver.
3. Unscrew the screws connecting the drum bearing support to the dryer cabinet.
4. Remove the drum bearing support and the drum roller.
5. Disconnect the wiring harnesses and unscrew the two screws securing the drive motor to the rear of the dryer cabinet.
6. Pull the motor out of the cabinet and unscrew the mounting screw from the blower housing.
7. Slide the blower housing out of the cabinet and disconnect the wiring harness and thermal fuse.
8. Unscrew the two screws attaching the bearing assembly to the dryer cabinet.
9. Carefully pull the bearing assembly out of the cabinet and install the new DC97-15720A Samsung dryer housing bearing assembly in its place.
10. Replace all parts you removed in the reverse order and make sure everything is secured firmly.
11. Reattach the power supply, turn on the dryer and test the new bearing assembly to make sure it’s working correctly.
