Step by Step DIY Instructions on Replacing the DC64-02792A Samsung Washer Door Diaphragm
1. First, prepare the necessary tools and materials you’ll need to replace the washer door diaphragm: Phillips head screwdriver, 1/4 inch nut driver, flat blade screwdriver, needle nose pliers, and a new DC64-02792A Samsung washer door diaphragm.
2. Unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet and then pull it out away from the wall to give you space to access the back panel.
3. Using the Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws located at the top of the back panel.
4. Slide the back panel up and away from the washer and then set it aside.
5. Using the flat blade screwdriver, reach inside the washer and pop off the plastic cover that protects the door latch assembly.
6. With the needle nose pliers, gently grab onto the insulator and then use a 1/4 nut driver to remove the screws which hold the door latch assembly in place.
7. Remove the door latch assembly and set it aside. Now you will be able to access the door diaphragm beneath the assembly.
8. Remove the old door diaphragm and discard it.
9. Take the new DC64-02792A Samsung washer door diaphragm and place it in the same position as the old one.
10. Reattach the door latch assembly, the insulator, and plastic cover.
11. Place the back panel back on the washer and secure with the two screws.
12. Plug the washing machine back into the wall outlet and you are now done with replacing the DC64-02792A Samsung washer door diaphragm.
