Replacing the DA97-07661C Samsung Refrigerator French Door Flipper Mullion Rail Assembly
If your fridge is making loud noises or your doors are sliding unevenly, it could be time to replace the DA97-07661C Samsung Refrigerator French Door Flipper Mullion Rail Assembly. Replacing this part doesn’t require any special tools and can be done in a few simple steps.
Step 1: Disconnect Power. Before you begin any repair, make sure you disconnect power to your refrigerator. If you have an ice maker, turn off the water supply as well.
Step 2: Remove Drawers and Shelves. You will need to remove all the shelves and drawers in the refrigerator door. Make sure to store them safely.
Step 3: Remove The Lower Door. Move the lower door to the open position and release the clip that holds it in place. You may have to use a flathead screwdriver to help remove the clip. Pull the door up and away from the rail assembly and then unhook the flipper mullion.
Step 4: Install New Rail Assembly. Place the new rail assembly into the refrigerator door and hook the flipper mullion back into the rail. Push the lower door back onto the clips and snap it back into place.
Step 5: Replace the Shelves and Drawers. Replace the shelves and drawers you removed earlier.
Step 6: Restore Power and Water. Restore power to the refrigerator and if you have an ice maker, reconnect the water line as well.
