Replacing the DA81-01345B Samsung Refrigerator Door Spring
Tools Needed:
*Phillips head screwdriver
*A flathead screwdriver
Step 1: Unplug your refrigerator from the wall outlet. You will also need to turn off the water if it is connected to a water supply.
Step 2: Remove all food items and set aside.
Step 3: Locate the top hinge cover at the center of the door. This cover is held in place by two Phillips head screws; remove them using your Phillips head screwdriver.
Step 4: Inside the hinge cover are three screws that attach the spring to the back of the door. Remove these screws, using the Phillips head screwdriver, and set aside.
Step 5: Pull the old spring away from the door and slide the new spring into place. Reattach the screws using the Phillips head screwdriver.
Step 6: Place the hinge cover back in place and secure with the two Phillips head screws.
Step 7: Close the door and make sure the spring is securely attached by gently tugging on the door.
Step 8: Plug the refrigerator back into the wall outlet and turn the water back on if applicable.
