If the appliance's motor isn’t worki ...ng properly to spin the wash tub, or your washer displays an error message, replacing the rotor position sensor may alleviate these issues. To access the part, tilt the washer back letting it rest on something to support it and tape the lid down. You'll need to remove the rotor and rotor stator at the bottom of the machine. The sensor is attached to the top of the stator. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. This Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat is a safety device that clips onto the evaporator in the freezer. The thermostat turns off the defrost heater in case it gets too warm in ...the freezer section. If your refrigerator does not defrost, replacing the thermostat may alleviate this issue. To access the part, open the freezer door and remove the shelves, mounting brackets (if they release), and the ice bucket. After you remove the back panel, the defrost thermostat is mounted to the end of the evaporator.
