Replacing the Robertshaw Furnace Hot Surface Ignitor, 120VAC, 5-1/4" Lead Length, Silicon Carbide

This guide is designed to help homeowners safely and easily replace their Robertshaw furnace ignitor. Before replacing the furnace ignitor, power off the furnace and disconnect the power supply to the furnace.

Tools Needed:

-Phillips screwdriver
-Flathead screwdriver
-Clean cloth
-Replacement Robertshaw Furnace Hot Surface Ignitor, 120VAC, 5-1/4" Lead Length, Silicon Carbide

Step 1: Locate the old ignitor. It is usually located at the burner assembly area of your furnace.

Step 2: Once you have located the old ignitor, remove it by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place.

Step 3: Carefully remove the old ignitor and set it aside.

Step 4: Using a clean cloth, gently wipe away dirt and debris from the area where the old ignitor was located in order to ensure a clean surface for the new ignitor.

Step 5: Attach the new Robertshaw Furnace Hot Surface Ignitor, 120VAC, 5-1/4" Lead Length, Silicon Carbide. Make sure all the connectors are secure.

Step 6: Tighten the screws to ensure a secure fit.

Step 7: Switch the power supply back on, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
