Replacing the Whirlpool W10401225 GLASS-DOOR

If you need to replace the Whirlpool W10401225 GLASS-DOOR, this DIY guide can help you do it yourself. To complete the job, you will need a few tools. These include a regular Phillips screwdriver, a Phillips head security screwdriver, a putty knife, and a 1/4-inch nut driver.

Step 1: Start by turning off the power to the refrigerator. Then unplug the unit from the power outlet.

Step 2: Remove the ice bin and any other components inside the unit.

Step 3: Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the screws that hold the trim in place on the door frame.

Step 4: With a putty knife, pry the trim away from the door frame.

Step 5: Locate the four screws that secure the existing glass door to the hinges on the frame.

Step 6: With a 1/4-inch nut driver, remove the screws.

Step 7: Carefully remove the glass door from the frame and set it aside.

Step 8: Place the new Whirlpool W10401225 GLASS-DOOR into the frame. Make sure it is properly centered.

Step 9: Secure the new glass door to the frame using the 1/4-inch nut driver.

Step 10: Replace the trim pieces around the door frame. Secure them with the screws that were removed in step 3.

Step 11: Reinstall all of the components from the interior of the refrigerator.

Step 12: Plug the refrigerator back in, and turn the power back on.

You have now successfully replaced the Whirlpool W10401225 GLASS-DOOR.
