Step 1: Prepare the Area
Cut off the power to the condenser fan motor at the circuit breaker. It is important to verify that the power is turned off before starting the installation process.
Step 2: Remove the Old Motor
Remove the mounting screws and capacitor from the old motor. Then, detach the wires from the motor and set aside.
Step 3: Install the New Motor
Attach the new 65111 Packard Condenser Fan Motor to the mounting plate with the provided screws. Connect the black wire to the “L†terminal and the blue wire to the “COM†terminal. Reattach the capacitor to the motor, making sure the wiring is correct.
Step 4: Test the Motor
Turn on the power to the motor and make sure it runs properly. If the motor does not run, check the wiring connections and make sure the capacitor is properly installed.
Step 5: Complete the Installation
Once the motor is running properly, replace the fan housing and secure with the mounting screws. Turn off the power to the motor and turn it back on to check for proper operation.
