Note that the igniter must glow white hot to properly light the oven; if it glows red or orange it is not functioning properly. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the oven and novice repair experience. You must unplug the oven or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure to turn off the gas valve before the repair.
