Replacing the MA-1660A FREEZER ALERT/ALARM(SE)
1. Begin by turning off the power to the freezer. This can be accomplished by unplugging the cord from the wall outlet or switching off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the freezer.
2. Locate the Freezer Alert/Alarm box and gently remove it from the freezer. Depending on the age of the freezer, it may be mounted directly to the side or to a shelf interior.
3. Disconnect the wires from the old unit carefully by holding onto each connector and carefully pulling straight away from the connector with a tug. Once all the wires are removed, the old unit should pull away easily.
4. Take the new MA-1660A FREEZER ALERT/ALARM(SE) out of its package and carefully connect the wires in the same order as they were connected to the old unit. Note that some freezer models may require an additional jumper wire to be installed.
5. Secure the new Control/Alarm unit to the wall of the freezer using the supplied screws.
6. Turn the power back on to the freezer and check the operation of the Control/Alarm unit.
7. Test the temperature control settings and adjust as necessary.
With these easy steps, you have successfully replaced the MA-1660A FREEZER ALERT/ALARM(SE) in your freezer!
Please keep in mind, these instructions are for general guidance and should always be used in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if available.
